I have been young and now I am old, Yet 1I have not seen the righteous forsaken Or 2his descendants begging bread.
All day long 3he is gracious and lends, And 4his descendants are a blessing.
5Depart from evil and do good, So you will abide 6forever.
For the LORD 7loves justice And 8does not forsake His godly ones; They are 9preserved forever, But the 10descendants of the wicked will be cut off.
The righteous will 11inherit the land And 12dwell in it forever.
The 15law of his God is in his heart; His 16steps do not slip.
The 17wicked spies upon the righteous And 18seeks to kill him.
The LORD will 19not leave him in his hand Or 20let him be condemned when he is judged.
21Wait for the LORD and keep His way, And He will exalt you to inherit the land; When the 22wicked are cut off, you will see it.
I have 23seen a wicked, violent man Spreading himself like a 24luxuriant tree in its native soil.
Then he passed away, and lo, he 25was no more; I sought for him, but he could not be found.
Mark the 26blameless man, and behold the 27upright; For the man of peace will have a 28posterity.
But transgressors will be altogether 29destroyed; The posterity of the wicked will be 30cut off.
But the 31salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength 32in time of trouble.
33The LORD helps them and delivers them; He 34delivers them from the wicked and saves them, Because they 35take refuge in Him.
