33Anotherangelcame and stood at the 4altar, holding a 5goldencenser; and much6incense was given to him, so that he might aadd it to the 7prayers of all the bsaints on the 8goldenaltar which was before the throne.
And 9the smoke of the incense, cwith the prayers of the dsaints, went up beforeGod out of the angel'shand.
5Then the angeletook the censer and 10filled it with the fire of the altar, and 11threw it to the earth; and there followed12peals of thunder and sounds and flashes of lightning and an 13earthquake.
614And the sevenangels who had the seventrumpetspreparedthemselves to sound them.
The firstsounded, and there came15hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth; and 16a third of the earth was burned up, and 17a third of the 18trees were burned up, and all the green19grass was burned up.
The secondangelsounded, and something like a great20mountainburning with fire was thrown into the sea; and 21a third of the 22seabecameblood,
and 23a third of the creatureswhich were in the seafand hadlife, died; and a third of the 24ships were destroyed.
The thirdangelsounded, and a greatstar25fell from heaven, burninglike a torch, and it fell on a 26third of the rivers and on the 27springs of waters.
The name of the star is calledWormwood; and a 28third of the watersbecame29wormwood, and manymendied from the waters, because they were madebitter.
The fourthangelsounded, and a 30third of the 31sun and a third of the 32moon and a 33third of the 34stars were struck, so that a 35third of them would be darkened and the day would not shine for a 36third of it, and the night in the sameway.
