Titus 3:5-15 (New American Standard)

View In My Bible
5 1He saved us, 2not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but 3according to His mercy, by the 4washing of regeneration and 5renewing by the Holy Spirit, 6 6whom He poured out upon us 7richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by His grace we would be made 8heirs aaccording to the hope of eternal life. 8 9This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I 10want you to speak confidently, so that those who have 11believed God will be careful to 12engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men. 9 But 13avoid 14foolish controversies and 15genealogies and strife and 16disputes about the Law, for they are 17unprofitable and worthless. 10 18Reject a 19factious man 20after a first and second warning, 11 knowing that such a man is 21perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned.

Personal Concerns

12 When I send Artemas or 22Tychicus to you, 23make every effort to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to 24spend the winter there. 13 Diligently help Zenas the 25lawyer and 26Apollos on their way so that nothing is lacking for them. 14 27Our people must also learn to 28engage in good bdeeds to meet 29pressing needs, so that they will not be 30unfruitful. 15 31All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us 32in the faith. 33Grace be with you all.
