2 Kings 16:20

And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his
fathers in the city of David
But not in the sepulchres of the kings of Israel, as David and Solomon, he being such a wicked prince, ( 2 Chronicles 28:27 )

and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead;

18 Ahaz took away the platform for the royal throne, which had been built at the Temple of the Lord. He also took away the outside entrance for the king. He did these things because of the king of Assyria.
