Psalms 116:18

18 I will give the Lord what I promised in front of all his people,

Psalms 116:18 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 116:18

I will pay my vows unto the Lord
(See Gill on Psalms 116:14). And the Targum here, as there, paraphrases the latter clause,

now in the presence of all his people,
thus;

``I will then declare his signs (or wonders) to all his people;''

the marvellous things he had done for him.

Psalms 116:18 In-Context

16 Lord, I am your servant; I am your servant and the son of your female servant. You have freed me from my chains.
17 I will give you an offering to show thanks to you, and I will pray to the Lord.
18 I will give the Lord what I promised in front of all his people,
19 in the Temple courtyards in Jerusalem.
