1 Kings 14:20

And the days which Jeroboam reigned were twenty two years,
&c.] So that he outlived Rehoboam five years, and lived to the second year of the reign of his grandson Asa:

and he slept with his fathers;
or died as they did:

and Nadab his son reigned in his stead;
who perhaps was younger than Abijah, whose sickness and death are before related.

It was the city the LORD had chosen out of all of the cities in the tribes of Israel. He wanted to put his Name there. Rehoboam's mother was Naamah from Ammon.

22 The people of Judah did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. The sins they had committed stirred up his jealous anger. They did more to make him angry than their people who lived before them had done.
