And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel. ] And as Ahab reigned twenty two years, ( 1 Kings 16:29 ) , Jehoshaphat must reign about eighteen years with him, and seven years after him.

Jehoshaphat followed all of the ways of his father Asa. He didn't wander away from them. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. But the high places weren't removed. The people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense at them.
