2 Corinthians 7:16

16 I am glad I can have complete faith in you.

2 Corinthians 7:16 Meaning and Commentary

2 Corinthians 7:16

I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all
things.
] That I can speak freely and boldly to you, reprove, admonish, and advise you, since you take it all in good part, as I design it; that I can confidently speak in your favour, boast of your love and obedience, which is found upon trial and by experience to be truth; and that I can promise myself every good thing from you, that is proper to ask of you, and lies in your power to perform; which he says partly to commend them for their past conduct, and partly to pave the way for what he had to say to them, concerning making a collection for the poor saints.

2 Corinthians 7:16 In-Context

14 I had bragged about you to him. And you have not let me down. Everything we said to you was true. In the same way, our bragging about you to Titus has also turned out to be true.
15 His love for you is even greater when he remembers that you all obeyed his teaching. You received him with fear and trembling.
16 I am glad I can have complete faith in you.
