Psalms 26:10

Psalms 26:10 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 26:10

In whose hands [is] mischief
Every abominable wickedness; as idolatry, adultery, murder the word signifies and is sometimes used for mischief conceived in the mind, artificially devised and contrived there; here mischief committed, the hand being the instrument of action, and intends whatever is prejudicial to the person, character, and properties of men;

and their right hand is full of bribes;
whereby the eyes of judges are blinded, the words of the righteous perverted, men's persons respected, and judgment wrested, ( Deuteronomy 16:19 ) .

Psalms 26:10 In-Context

8 Lord, I love the house where you live. I love the place where your glory is.
9 Don't destroy me together with sinners. Don't take my life away along with murderers.
10 Their hands are always planning to do evil. Their right hands are full of money that bought them off.
11 But I live without blame. Set me free and show me your favor.
12 My feet stand on level ground. In the whole community I will praise the Lord.
