27 Ve tú y escucha lo que dice el Señor
nuestro Dios. Luego ven a contarnos todo lo que él te diga, y nosotros escucharemos y obedeceremos”.

Deuteronomy 5:27

Go thou near
To the mount, and to God on it:

and hear all that the Lord our God shall say;
for they supposed, by the continuance of the Lord on the mount, and the fire burning on it, that he had more to say, which they were not averse to hear; but desired it might be not immediately delivered to them, but by the means of Moses; the sound of the words, and the sight of the fire, being so terrible to them:

and speak thou unto us all that the Lord our God shall speak unto thee:
they did not doubt, knowing the faithfulness of Moses, his declaring all unto them that should be told him by the Lord; and they were desirous that he should, they did not want to have anything withheld from them, only they could not bear to see and hear things immediately from the Lord:

and we will hear it and do it;
hearken to it, and receive it, as the word of God, and not man, and yield a ready and cheerful obedience, even to everything that should be required; see ( Exodus 20:19 ) ( 24:3-7 ) .

25 Sin embargo, ¿para qué arriesgarnos otra vez a morir? Si el Señor
nuestro Dios vuelve a hablarnos, seguramente moriremos y seremos consumidos por ese imponente fuego.

26 ¿Puede algún ser vivo oír la voz del Dios viviente que sale de en medio del fuego —como la oímos nosotros— y seguir con vida?

27 Ve tú y escucha lo que dice el Señor
nuestro Dios. Luego ven a contarnos todo lo que él te diga, y nosotros escucharemos y obedeceremos”.

28 »El Señor
oyó la petición que me hicieron y dijo: “He oído todo lo que los israelitas te dijeron, y tienen razón.

29 ¡Oh, si siempre tuvieran un corazón así, si estuvieran dispuestos a temerme y a obedecer todos mis mandatos! Entonces siempre les iría bien a ellos y a sus descendientes.
