4 En el lugar que se encuentre este remanente judío, que sus vecinos los ayuden con los gastos, dándoles plata y oro, provisiones para el viaje y animales, como también una ofrenda voluntaria para el templo de Dios en Jerusalén”».

Ezra 1:4

And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth
Is left behind, and cannot go up through poverty, not having a sufficiency to bear his charges in his journey to Jerusalem:

let the men of his place keep him with silver, and with gold, and with
goods, and with beasts;
with money to bear the expenses of his journey, with goods to furnish his house, or trade with, when he came to Judea, and with cattle to carry him, and his goods, and to till the ground with, when he came thither; and the men exhorted to this are either the Gentiles that dwelt in the cities where these poor Jews were, or the richer Jews, who chose as yet not to go up until they saw how things would succeed; and are therefore called upon to assist their brethren who had a will, but not ability:

besides the freewill offering for the house of God that is in
Jerusalem:
which they freely gave, and sent by them for the rebuilding of the temple.

2 «Esto dice Ciro, rey de Persia:
“El Señor
, Dios del cielo, me ha dado todos los reinos de la tierra. Me encargó construirle un templo en Jerusalén, que está en Judá.

3 Cualquiera que pertenezca a su pueblo puede ir a Jerusalén de Judá para reconstruir el templo del Señor
, Dios de Israel, quien vive en Jerusalén, ¡y que su Dios esté con ustedes!

4 En el lugar que se encuentre este remanente judío, que sus vecinos los ayuden con los gastos, dándoles plata y oro, provisiones para el viaje y animales, como también una ofrenda voluntaria para el templo de Dios en Jerusalén”».

5 Luego Dios movió el corazón de los sacerdotes, de los levitas y de los jefes de las tribus de Judá y de Benjamín, para que fueran a Jerusalén a reconstruir el templo del Señor
.

6 Todos los vecinos colaboraron, dándoles objetos de plata y de oro, provisiones para el viaje y animales. Les dieron muchos regalos valiosos además de todas las ofrendas voluntarias.
