Jeremiah 25:13

And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have
pronounced against it
By his prophets, and particularly by Jeremiah, as follows; for not one word that is spoken by the Lord, either in a way of promise or threatening, shall fail; his truth, power, and faithfulness, are engaged to accomplish all: [even] all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath
prophesied against all the nations;
the Egyptians, Philistines, Moabites, Edomites, Arabians, Persians, and also the Babylonians, in ( Jeremiah 46:1-51:64 ) , which prophecies, in the Greek version, immediately follow here, though in a confused manner; where some have thought they might be more regularly placed than as they are in the Hebrew copies, at the end of the book; but of this there seems to be no absolute necessity.

11 Toda la tierra se convertirá en una desolada tierra baldía. Israel y las naciones vecinas servirán al rey de Babilonia por setenta años.

12 »”Entonces, después que hayan pasado los setenta años de cautiverio, castigaré al rey de Babilonia y a su pueblo por sus pecados —dice el Señor

14 Muchas naciones y grandes reyes esclavizarán a los babilonios, así como ellos esclavizaron a mi pueblo. Los castigaré en proporción al sufrimiento que le ocasionaron a mi pueblo”».

Esto me dijo el Señor
, Dios de Israel: «Toma de mi mano la copa de mi enojo, que está llena hasta el borde, y haz que todas las naciones a las que te envíe beban de ella.
