And the Reubenites rebuilt Heshbon,1 Elealeh2 and Kiriathaim,3

as well as Nebo4 and Baal Meon (these names were changed) and Sibmah.5 They gave names to the cities they rebuilt.

The descendants of Makir6 son of Manasseh went to Gilead,7 captured it and drove out the Amorites8 who were there.
40
So Moses gave Gilead to the Makirites,9 the descendants of Manasseh, and they settled there.

Jair,10 a descendant of Manasseh, captured their settlements and called them Havvoth Jair.a11
42
And Nobah captured Kenath12 and its surrounding settlements and called it Nobah13 after himself.14
