He made the pillars with two encircling rows of pomegranates on the one grating to cover the capital on top; he did the same for the second capital. 18 He made pomegranates in two rows encircling each network to decorate the capitals on top of the pillars. He did the same for each capital.
And the capitals on top of the pillars in the portico were shaped like lilies, six feet [high]. 19 The capitals on top of the pillars in the portico were in the shape of lilies, four cubits high.
The capitals on the two pillars were also immediately above the rounded surface next to the grating, and 200 pomegranates were in rows encircling each capital. 20 On the capitals of both pillars, above the bowl-shaped part next to the network, were the two hundred pomegranates in rows all around.
He set up the pillars at the portico of the sanctuary: he set up the right pillar and named it Jachin; then he set up the left pillar and named it Boaz. 21 He erected the pillars at the portico of the temple. The pillar to the south he named Jakin and the one to the north Boaz.
The tops of the pillars were shaped like lilies. Then the work of the pillars was completed. 22 The capitals on top were in the shape of lilies. And so the work on the pillars was completed.
He made the cast [metal] reservoir, 15 feet from brim to brim, perfectly round. It was seven and a half feet high and 45 feet in circumference. 23 He made the Sea of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim and five cubits high. It took a line of thirty cubits to measure around it.
[Ornamental] gourds encircled it below the brim, 10 every half yard, completely encircling the reservoir. The gourds were cast in two rows when the reservoir was cast. 24 Below the rim, gourds encircled it--ten to a cubit. The gourds were cast in two rows in one piece with the Sea.
It stood on 12 oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east. The reservoir was on top of them and all their hindquarters were toward the center. 25 The Sea stood on twelve bulls, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south and three facing east. The Sea rested on top of them, and their hindquarters were toward the center.
The reservoir was three inches thick, and its rim was fashioned like the brim of a cup or of a lily blossom. It held 11,000 gallons. 26 It was a handbreadth in thickness, and its rim was like the rim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It held two thousand baths.
Then he made 10 bronze water carts. Each water cart was six feet long, six feet wide, and four and a half feet high. 27 He also made ten movable stands of bronze; each was four cubits long, four wide and three high.
This was the design of the carts: They had frames; the frames were between the cross-pieces, 28 This is how the stands were made: They had side panels attached to uprights.
