1 Of the blue, purple, and scarlet, they made finely worked garments, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as Yahweh commanded Moses.
1 From the blue, purple and scarlet yarn they made woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary. They also made sacred garments for Aaron, as the LORD commanded Moses.
2 He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen.
2 They made the ephod of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.
3 They beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, in the purple, in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, the work of the skillful workman.
3 They hammered out thin sheets of gold and cut strands to be worked into the blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen—the work of skilled hands.
4 They made shoulder-pieces for it, joined together. At the two ends it was joined together.
4 They made shoulder pieces for the ephod, which were attached to two of its corners, so it could be fastened.
5 The skillfully woven band that was on it, with which to fasten it on, was of the same piece, like its work; of gold, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen; as Yahweh commanded Moses.
5 Its skillfully woven waistband was like it—of one piece with the ephod and made with gold, and with blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and with finely twisted linen, as the LORD commanded Moses.
6 They worked the onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold, engraved with the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the children of Israel.
6 They mounted the onyx stones in gold filigree settings and engraved them like a seal with the names of the sons of Israel.
7 He put them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, to be stones of memorial for the children of Israel, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
7 Then they fastened them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, as the LORD commanded Moses.
8 He made the breastplate, the work of a skillful workman, like the work of the ephod; of gold, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen.
8 They fashioned the breastpiece—the work of a skilled craftsman. They made it like the ephod: of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.
9 It was square. They made the breastplate double. Its length was a span, and its breadth a span, being double.
9 It was square—a span long and a span wide—and folded double.
10 They set in it four rows of stones. A row of ruby, topaz, and beryl was the first row;
10 Then they mounted four rows of precious stones on it. The first row was carnelian, chrysolite and beryl;
11 and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and an emerald;
11 the second row was turquoise, lapis lazuli and emerald;
12 and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;
12 the third row was jacinth, agate and amethyst;
13 and the fourth row, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in gold settings.
13 the fourth row was topaz, onyx and jasper. They were mounted in gold filigree settings.
14 The stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names; like the engravings of a signet, everyone according to his name, for the twelve tribes.
14 There were twelve stones, one for each of the names of the sons of Israel, each engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.
15 They made on the breastplate chains like cords, of braided work of pure gold.
15 For the breastpiece they made braided chains of pure gold, like a rope.
16 They made two settings of gold, and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
16 They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and fastened the rings to two of the corners of the breastpiece.
17 They put the two braided chains of gold in the two rings at the ends of the breastplate.
17 They fastened the two gold chains to the rings at the corners of the breastpiece,
18 The other two ends of the two braided chains they put on the two settings, and put them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, in the front of it.
18 and the other ends of the chains to the two settings, attaching them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front.
19 They made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on the edge of it, which was toward the side of the ephod inward.
19 They made two gold rings and attached them to the other two corners of the breastpiece on the inside edge next to the ephod.
20 They made two rings of gold, and put them on the two shoulder-pieces of the ephod underneath, in the front of it, close by its coupling, above the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
20 Then they made two more gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod, close to the seam just above the waistband of the ephod.
21 They bound the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be on the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not come loose from the ephod, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
21 They tied the rings of the breastpiece to the rings of the ephod with blue cord, connecting it to the waistband so that the breastpiece would not swing out from the ephod—as the LORD commanded Moses.
22 He made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.
22 They made the robe of the ephod entirely of blue cloth—the work of a weaver—
23 The opening of the robe in the midst of it was like the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding around its opening, that it should not be torn.
23 with an opening in the center of the robe like the opening of a collar, and a band around this opening, so that it would not tear.
24 They made on the skirts of the robe pomegranates of blue, purple, scarlet, and twined linen.
24 They made pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen around the hem of the robe.
25 They made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates around the skirts of the robe, between the pomegranates;
25 And they made bells of pure gold and attached them around the hem between the pomegranates.
26 a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, around the skirts of the robe, to minister in, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
26 The bells and pomegranates alternated around the hem of the robe to be worn for ministering, as the LORD commanded Moses.
27 They made the coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,
27 For Aaron and his sons, they made tunics of fine linen—the work of a weaver—
28 and the turban of fine linen, and the linen headbands of fine linen, and the linen breeches of fine twined linen,
28 and the turban of fine linen, the linen caps and the undergarments of finely twisted linen.
29 and the sash of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, the work of the embroiderer, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
29 The sash was made of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn—the work of an embroiderer—as the LORD commanded Moses.
30 They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it a writing, like the engravings of a signet: "HOLY TO YAHWEH."
30 They made the plate, the sacred emblem, out of pure gold and engraved on it, like an inscription on a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD.
31 They tied to it a lace of blue, to fasten it on the turban above, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
31 Then they fastened a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban, as the LORD commanded Moses.
32 Thus all the work of the tent of the tent of meeting was finished. The children of Israel did according to all that Yahweh commanded Moses; so they did.
32 So all the work on the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, was completed. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD commanded Moses.
33 They brought the tent to Moses, the tent, with all its furniture, its clasps, its boards, it bars, its pillars, its sockets,
33 Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses: the tent and all its furnishings, its clasps, frames, crossbars, posts and bases;
34 the covering of rams' skins dyed red, the covering of sea cow hides, the veil of the screen,
34 the covering of ram skins dyed red and the covering of another durable leather and the shielding curtain;
35 the ark of the testimony with its poles, the mercy seat,
35 the ark of the covenant law with its poles and the atonement cover;
36 the table, all its vessels, the show bread,
36 the table with all its articles and the bread of the Presence;
37 the pure lampstand, its lamps, even the lamps to be set in order, all its vessels, the oil for the light,
37 the pure gold lampstand with its row of lamps and all its accessories, and the olive oil for the light;
38 the golden altar, the anointing oil, the sweet incense, the screen for the door of the Tent,
38 the gold altar, the anointing oil, the fragrant incense, and the curtain for the entrance to the tent;
39 the brazen altar, its grating of brass, its poles, all of its vessels, the basin and its base,
39 the bronze altar with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils; the basin with its stand;
40 the hangings of the court, its pillars, its sockets, the screen for the gate of the court, its cords, its pins, all the instruments of the service of the tent, for the tent of meeting,
40 the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard; the ropes and tent pegs for the courtyard; all the furnishings for the tabernacle, the tent of meeting;
41 the finely worked garments for ministering in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office.
41 and the woven garments worn for ministering in the sanctuary, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when serving as priests.
42 According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did all the work.
42 The Israelites had done all the work just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
43 Moses saw all the work, and, behold, they had done it as Yahweh had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.
43 Moses inspected the work and saw that they had done it just as the LORD had commanded. So Moses blessed them.
