Hebrews 9:1-6

CEB

NIV

1 So then the first covenant had regulations for the priests' service and the holy place on earth.
1 Now the first covenant had regulations for worship and also an earthly sanctuary.
2 They pitched the first tent called the holy place. It contained the lampstand, the table, and the loaves of bread presented to God.
2 A tabernacle was set up. In its first room were the lampstand and the table with its consecrated bread; this was called the Holy Place.
3 There was a tent behind the second curtain called the holy of holies.
3 Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,
4 It had the gold altar for incense and the chest containing the covenant, which was covered with gold on all sides. In the chest there was a gold jar containing manna, Aaron's rod that budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.
4 which had the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.
5 Above the chest there were magnificent winged creatures casting their shadow over the seat of the chest, where sin is taken care of. Right now we can't talk about these things in detail.
5 Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory, overshadowing the atonement cover. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.
6 When these things have been prepared in this way, priests enter the first tent all the time as they perform their service.
6 When everything had been arranged like this, the priests entered regularly into the outer room to carry on their ministry.
