Lexham English Bible (LEB) New International Version (NIV)
How long, O Yahweh? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 1 How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I take counsel in my soul, [and] sorrow in my heart [all the] day? How long will my enemy be exalted over me? 2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Consider [and] answer me, O Yahweh my God. Give light to my eyes lest I sleep [the sleep of] death, 3 Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death;
[and] lest my enemy should say, "I have overcome him," [lest] my enemies rejoice because I am shaken. 4 my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
But as for me, I have trusted in your steadfast love. My heart will rejoice in your deliverance. 5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing to Yahweh because he has dealt bountifully with me. 6 I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.
