who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it,to the praise of his glory. 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory.
For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, 15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength,
that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 20 which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,
far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,
which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
