Good News Translation (GNT) New International Version (NIV)
God said, "Mortal man, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the people of Israel." 1 And he said to me, "Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the house of Israel."
So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat. 2 So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat.
He said, "Mortal man, eat this scroll that I give you; fill your stomach with it." I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey. 3 Then he said to me, "Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it." So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.
Then God said, "Mortal man, go to the people of Israel and say to them whatever I tell you to say. 4 He then said to me: "Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak my words to them.
I am not sending you to a nation that speaks a difficult foreign language, but to the Israelites. 5 You are not being sent to a people of obscure speech and difficult language, but to the house of Israel--
If I sent you to great nations that spoke difficult languages you didn't understand, they would listen to you. 6 not to many peoples of obscure speech and difficult language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you.
