Revised Standard Version w/ Apocrypha (RSVA) New International Version (NIV)

And again, she bore his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a tiller of the ground. 2 Later she gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil.
In the course of time Cain brought to the LORD an offering of the fruit of the ground, 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD.
and Abel brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering, 4 But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering,
but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
The LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry, and why has your countenance fallen? 6 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?
