Douay-Rheims (RHE) New International Version (NIV)
For by one oblation he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 14 because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
And the Holy Ghost also doth testify this to us. For after that he said: 15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
And this is the testament which I will make unto them after those days, saith the Lord. I will give my laws in their hearts and on their minds will I write them: 16 "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."
And their sins and iniquities I will remember no more. 17 Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."
Now, where there is a remission of these, there is no more an oblation for sin. 18 And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.
Having therefore, brethren, a confidence in the entering into the holies by the blood of Christ: 19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
A new and living way which he hath dedicated for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh: 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,
And a high priest over the house of God: 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
Let us draw near with a true heart, in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with clean water. 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering (for he is faithful that hath promised): 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
And let us consider one another, to provoke unto charity and to good works: 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
