but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
Anyone who has violated the law of Moses dies without mercy "on the testimony of two or three witnesses." 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
How much worse punishment do you think will be deserved by those who have spurned the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant by which they were sanctified, and outraged the Spirit of grace? 29 How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

For you need endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
For yet "in a very little while, the one who is coming will come and will not delay; 37 For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay.
