The Darby Translation (DBY) New International Version (NIV)
Thy ·word is exceeding pure, and thy servant loveth it. 140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them.
I am little and despised: thy precepts have I not forgotten. 141 Though I am lowly and despised, I do not forget your precepts.
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth. 142 Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true.
Trouble and anguish have taken hold upon me: thy commandments are my delights. 143 Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands are my delight.
The righteousness of thy testimonies is for ever: give me understanding, and I shall live. 144 Your statutes are forever right; give me understanding that I may live.
KOPH. I have called with [my] whole heart; answer me, O Jehovah: I will observe thy statutes. 145 I call with all my heart; answer me, O LORD, and I will obey your decrees.
I call upon thee; save me, and I will keep thy testimonies. 146 I call out to you; save me and I will keep your statutes.
I anticipate the morning-dawn and I cry: I hope in thy word. 147 I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word.
Mine eyes anticipate the night-watches, that I may meditate in thy ·word. 148 My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises.
Hear my voice according to thy loving-kindness: O Jehovah, quicken me according to thy judgment. 149 Hear my voice in accordance with your love; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your laws.
They have drawn nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law. 150 Those who devise wicked schemes are near, but they are far from your law.
