Psalms 119:81-88

NIRV

NIV

81 I deeply long for you to save me. I have put my hope in your word.
81 My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word.
82 My eyes grow tired looking for what you have promised. I say, "When will you comfort me?"
82 My eyes fail, looking for your promise; I say, “When will you comfort me?”
83 I'm as useless as a wineskin that smoke has dried up. But I don't forget to follow your orders.
83 Though I am like a wineskin in the smoke, I do not forget your decrees.
84 How long do I have to wait? When will you punish those who attack me?
84 How long must your servant wait? When will you punish my persecutors?
85 Proud people do what is against your law. They dig pits for me to fall into.
85 The arrogant dig pits to trap me, contrary to your law.
86 All of your commands can be trusted. Help me, because people attack me without any reason.
86 All your commands are trustworthy; help me, for I am being persecuted without cause.
87 They almost wiped me off the face of the earth. But I have not turned away from your rules.
87 They almost wiped me from the earth, but I have not forsaken your precepts.
88 Keep me alive, because you love me. Then I will obey the covenant laws you have given.
88 In your unfailing love preserve my life, that I may obey the statutes of your mouth.
