Holman Christian Standard (CSB) New International Version (NIV)
Lord, hear my prayer. In Your faithfulness listen to my plea, and in Your righteousness answer me. 1 O LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.
Do not bring Your servant into judgment, for no one alive is righteous in Your sight. 2 Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you.
For the enemy has pursued me, crushing me to the ground, making me live in darkness like those long dead. 3 The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in darkness like those long dead.
My spirit is weak within me; my heart is overcome with dismay. 4 So my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is dismayed.
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all You have done; I reflect on the work of Your hands. 5 I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.
I spread out my hands to You; I am like parched land before You. Selah 6 I spread out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. "Selah"
