New International Reader's Version (NIRV) New International Version (NIV)
God, keep me safe. I go to you for safety. 1 Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge.
I said to the Lord, "You are my Lord. Without you, I don't have anything that is good." 2 I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."
God's people who live in our land are glorious. I take great delight in them. 3 As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.
Those who run after other gods will have nothing but trouble. I will not pour out offerings of blood to those gods. My lips will not speak their names. 4 The sorrows of those will increase who run after other gods. I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips.
Lord, everything you have given me is good. You have made my life secure. 5 LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.
I am very pleased with what you have given me. I am very happy with what I've received from you. 6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
