So that you may not claim to be wiser than you are, brothers and sisters, I want you to understand this mystery: a hardening has come upon part of Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. 25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.
And so all Israel will be saved; as it is written, "Out of Zion will come the Deliverer; he will banish ungodliness from Jacob." 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
"And this is my covenant with them, when I take away their sins." 27 And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins."
As regards the gospel they are enemies of God for your sake; but as regards election they are beloved, for the sake of their ancestors; 28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs,
for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 29 for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable.
Just as you were once disobedient to God but have now received mercy because of their disobedience, 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience,
so they have now been disobedient in order that, by the mercy shown to you, they too may now receive mercy. 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you.
For God has imprisoned all in disobedience so that he may be merciful to all. 32 For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! 33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!
"For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" 34 "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?"
"Or who has given a gift to him, to receive a gift in return?" 35 "Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?"
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen. 36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
