New King James Version (NKJV) New International Version (NIV)
And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors--not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 12 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation--but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it.
For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 14 because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." 15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, ""Abba," Father."
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
