1 Peter 1:20-25

NCV

NIV

20 Christ was chosen before the world was made, but he was shown to the world in these last times for your sake.
20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.
21 Through Christ you believe in God, who raised Christ from the dead and gave him glory. So your faith and your hope are in God.
21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.
22 Now that you have made your souls pure by obeying the truth, you can have true love for your Christian brothers and sisters. So love each other deeply with all your heart.
22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.
23 You have been born again, and this new life did not come from something that dies, but from something that cannot die. You were born again through God's living message that continues forever.
23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
24 The Scripture says, "All people are like the grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass dies and the flowers fall,
24 For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,
25 but the word of the Lord will live forever." And this is the word that was preached to you.
25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.”And this is the word that was preached to you.
