1 Corinthians 5

TYN 1 There goeth a comen sayinge that ther is fornicacion amoge you and soche fornicacion as is not once named amonge the gentyls: that one shuld have his fathers wyfe. NIV 1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father's wife. TYN 2 And ye swell and have not rather sorowed yt he which hath done this dede myght be put fro amoge you. NIV 2 And you are proud! Shouldn't you rather have been filled with grief and have put out of your fellowship the man who did this? TYN 3 For I verely as absent in body even so present in sprete have determyned all redy (as though I were present) of him that hath done this dede NIV 3 Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. And I have already passed judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present. TYN 4 in the name of oure Lorde Iesu Christ when ye are gaddered togedder and my sprete with the power of the Lorde Iesus Christ NIV 4 When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, TYN 5 to deliver him vnto Satan for ye destruccio of the flesshe yt the sprete maye be saved in ye daye of ye Lorde Iesus. NIV 5 hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord. TYN 6 Youre reioysinge is not good: knowe ye not that a lytle leve sowreth the whole lompe of dowe. NIV 6 Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough? TYN 7 Pourge therfore the olde leven that ye maye be newe dowe as ye are swete breed. For Christ oure esterlambe is offered vp for vs. NIV 7 Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast--as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. TYN 8 Therfore let vs kepe holy daye not with olde leve nether with the leven of maliciousnes and wickednes: but with the swete breed of purenes and truth. NIV 8 Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth. TYN 9 I wrote vnto you in a pistle that ye shuld not company with fornicatours. NIV 9 I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people-- TYN 10 And I meat not at all of the fornicatours of this worlde ether of the coveteous or of extorsioners ether of the ydolaters: for then must ye nedes have gone out of ye worlde. NIV 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. TYN 11 But now I write vnto you that ye company not togedder yf eny that is called a brother be a fornicator or coveteous or a worshipper of ymages ether a raylar ether a dronkard or an extorcionar: with him that is soche se that ye eate not. NIV 11 But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. TYN 12 For what have I to do to iudge them which are with out? Do ye not iudge them that are with in? NIV 12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? TYN 13 Them that are with out God shall iudge. Put awaye from amonge you that evyll parson. NIV 13 God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."
