1 Ora ecco i figliuoli d’Israele, secondo il loro numero, i capi di famiglie patriarcali, i capi di migliaia e di centinaia e i loro ufficiali al servizio del re per tutto quello che concerneva le divisioni che entravano e uscivano di servizio, mese per mese, tutti i mesi dell’anno, ogni divisione essendo di ventiquattromila uomini.

This is the list of the Israelites—heads of families, commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, and their officers, who served the king in all that concerned the army divisions that were on duty month by month throughout the year. Each division consisted of 24,000 men.
