1 Corinthians 16

WEB 1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I commanded the assemblies of Galatia, you do likewise. NIV 1 Now about the collection for God's people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. WEB 2 On the first day of the week, let each one of you save, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come. NIV 2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. WEB 3 When I arrive, I will send whoever you approve with letters to carry your gracious gift to Jerusalem. NIV 3 Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. WEB 4 If it is appropriate for me to go also, they will go with me. NIV 4 If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me. WEB 5 But I will come to you when I have passed through Macedonia, for I am passing through Macedonia. NIV 5 After I go through Macedonia, I will come to you--for I will be going through Macedonia. WEB 6 But with you it may be that I will stay, or even winter, that you may send me on my journey wherever I go. NIV 6 Perhaps I will stay with you awhile, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go. WEB 7 For I do not wish to see you now in passing, but I hope to stay a while with you, if the Lord permits. NIV 7 I do not want to see you now and make only a passing visit; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. WEB 8 But I will stay at Ephesus until Pentecost, NIV 8 But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost, WEB 9 for a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. NIV 9 because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me. WEB 10 Now if Timothy comes, see that he is with you without fear, for he does the work of the Lord, as I also do. NIV 10 If Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is carrying on the work of the Lord, just as I am. WEB 11 Therefore let no one despise him. But set him forward on his journey in peace, that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brothers. NIV 11 No one, then, should refuse to accept him. Send him on his way in peace so that he may return to me. I am expecting him along with the brothers. WEB 12 But concerning Apollos, the brother, I begged him much to come to you with the brothers; and it was not all his desire to come now; but he will come when he has an opportunity. NIV 12 Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was quite unwilling to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity. WEB 13 Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be men! Be strong! NIV 13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. WEB 14 Let all that you do be done in love. NIV 14 Do everything in love. WEB 15 Now I beg you, brothers (you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have set themselves to minister to the saints), NIV 15 You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. I urge you, brothers, WEB 16 that you also be in subjection to such, and to everyone who helps in the work and labors. NIV 16 to submit to such as these and to everyone who joins in the work, and labors at it. WEB 17 I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus; for that which was lacking on your part, they supplied. NIV 17 I was glad when Stephanas, Fortunatus and Achaicus arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you. WEB 18 For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge those who are like that. NIV 18 For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition. WEB 19 The assemblies of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you much in the Lord, together with the assembly that is in their house. NIV 19 The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house. WEB 20 All the brothers greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. NIV 20 All the brothers here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss. WEB 21 This greeting is by me, Paul, with my own hand. NIV 21 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. WEB 22 If any man doesn't love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. Come, Lord! NIV 22 If anyone does not love the Lord --a curse be on him. Come, O Lord ! WEB 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. NIV 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. WEB 24 My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen. NIV 24 My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.
