1 Corinthians 6:8-18

NAS 8 On the contrary, you yourselves wrong and defraud. You do this even to your brethren. NIV 8 Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers. NAS 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, NIV 9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders NAS 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. NIV 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. NAS 11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. NIV 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. NAS 12 All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything. NIV 12 "Everything is permissible for me"--but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"--but I will not be mastered by anything. NAS 13 Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, but God will do away with both of them. Yet the body is not for immorality, but for the Lord , and the Lord is for the body. NIV 13 "Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"--but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. NAS 14 Now God has not only raised the Lord , but will also raise us up through His power. NIV 14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. NAS 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be! NIV 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! NAS 16 Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For He says, "THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH." NIV 16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh." NAS 17 But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him. NIV 17 But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. NAS 18 Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. NIV 18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.
