1 Peter 2:1-6

RHE 1 Wherefore laying away all malice and all guile and dissimulations and envies and all detractions, NIV 1 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. RHE 2 As newborn babes, desire the rational milk without guile, that thereby you may grow unto salvation: NIV 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, RHE 3 If so be you have tasted that the Lord is sweet. NIV 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. RHE 4 Unto whom coming, as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men but chosen and made honourable by God: NIV 4 As you come to him, the living Stone--rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him-- RHE 5 Be you also as living stones built up, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. NIV 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. RHE 6 Wherefore it is said in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious. And he that shall believe in him shall not be confounded. NIV 6 For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
