2 Corinthians 6

CSB 1 Working together with Him, we also appeal to you: "Don't receive God's grace in vain." NIV 1 As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. CSB 2 For He says: In an acceptable time, I heard you, and in the day of salvation, I helped you. Look, now is the acceptable time; look, now is the day of salvation. NIV 2 For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. CSB 3 We give no opportunity for stumbling to anyone, so that the ministry will not be blamed. NIV 3 We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. CSB 4 But in everything, as God's ministers, we commend ourselves: by great endurance, by afflictions, by hardship, by pressures, NIV 4 Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; CSB 5 by beatings, by imprisonments, by riots, by labors, by sleepless nights, by times of hunger, NIV 5 in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; CSB 6 by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, NIV 6 in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; CSB 7 by the message of truth, by the power of God; through weapons of righteousness on the right hand and the left, NIV 7 in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; CSB 8 through glory and dishonor, through slander and good report; as deceivers yet true; NIV 8 through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; CSB 9 as unknown yet recognized; as dying and look-we live; as being chastened yet not killed; NIV 9 known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; CSB 10 as grieving yet always rejoicing; as poor yet enriching many; as having nothing yet possessing everything. NIV 10 sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. CSB 11 We have spoken openly to you, Corinthians; our heart has been opened wide. NIV 11 We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you. CSB 12 You are not limited by us, but you are limited by your own affections. NIV 12 We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us. CSB 13 Now in like response-I speak as to children-you also should be open to us. NIV 13 As a fair exchange--I speak as to my children--open wide your hearts also. CSB 14 Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? NIV 14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? CSB 15 What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? NIV 15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial ? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? CSB 16 And what agreement does God's sanctuary have with idols? For we are the sanctuary of the living God, as God said: I will dwell among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people. NIV 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people." CSB 17 Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord; do not touch any unclean thing, and I will welcome you. NIV 17 "Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you." CSB 18 I will be a Father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty. NIV 18 "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."
