4 Want ik heb ulieden uit vele verdrukking en benauwdheid des harten, met vele tranen geschreven, niet opdat gij zoudt bedroefd worden, maar opdat gij de liefde zoudt verstaan, die ik overvloediglijk tot u heb.
4 For I wrote you out of great distress and anguish of heart and with many tears, not to grieve you but to let you know the depth of my love for you.
