18 Zo verlieten zij het huis des HEEREN, des Gods hunner vaderen, en dienden de bossen en de afgoden; toen was een grote toornigheid over Juda en Jeruzalem, om deze hun schuld.
18 They abandoned the temple of the LORD, the God of their ancestors, and worshiped Asherah poles and idols. Because of their guilt, God’s anger came on Judah and Jerusalem.
