16 Then <em>these</em> three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that <em>was</em> by the gate and took <em>it</em> and brought <em>it</em> to David; nevertheless, he would not drink of it, but poured it out unto the LORD, saying,
16 So the three mighty warriors broke through the Philistine lines, drew water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem and carried it back to David. But he refused to drink it; instead, he poured it out before the LORD.
