2 Corinthians 5:9-19

NAS 9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. NIV 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. NAS 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. NIV 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. NAS 11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord , we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences. NIV 11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. NAS 12 We are not again commending ourselves to you but are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, so that you will have an answer for those who take pride in appearance and not in heart. NIV 12 We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. NAS 13 For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you. NIV 13 If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. NAS 14 For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; NIV 14 For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. NAS 15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. NIV 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. NAS 16 Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. NIV 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. NAS 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. NIV 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! NAS 18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, NIV 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: NAS 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. NIV 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
