NAS 1 And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain - NIV 1 As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. NAS 2 for He says, "AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU." Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION "- NIV 2 For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. NAS 3 giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited, NIV 3 We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. NAS 4 but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses, NIV 4 Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; NAS 5 in beatings, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in hunger, NIV 5 in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; NAS 6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love, NIV 6 in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; NAS 7 in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left, NIV 7 in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; NAS 8 by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; regarded as deceivers and yet true; NIV 8 through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; NAS 9 as unknown yet well-known, as dying yet behold, we live; as punished yet not put to death, NIV 9 known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; NAS 10 as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing yet possessing all things. NIV 10 sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. NAS 11 Our mouth has spoken freely to you, O Corinthians, our heart is opened wide. NIV 11 We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you. NAS 12 You are not restrained by us, but you are restrained in your own affections. NIV 12 We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us. NAS 13 Now in a like exchange -I speak as to children -open wide to us also. NIV 13 As a fair exchange--I speak as to my children--open wide your hearts also. NAS 14 Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? NIV 14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? NAS 15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? NIV 15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial ? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? NAS 16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. NIV 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people." NAS 17 "Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord . "AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you. NIV 17 "Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you." NAS 18 "And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me," Says the Lord Almighty. NIV 18 "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."
