2 Timothy 1:10-18

NLT 10 And now he has made all of this plain to us by the coming of Christ Jesus, our Savior, who broke the power of death and showed us the way to everlasting life through the Good News. NIV 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. NLT 11 And God chose me to be a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of this Good News. NIV 11 And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher. NLT 12 And that is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return. NIV 12 That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day. NLT 13 Hold on to the pattern of right teaching you learned from me. And remember to live in the faith and love that you have in Christ Jesus. NIV 13 What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. NLT 14 With the help of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard what has been entrusted to you. NIV 14 Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you--guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. NLT 15 As you know, all the Christians who came here from the province of Asia have deserted me; even Phygelus and Hermogenes are gone. NIV 15 You know that everyone in the province of Asia has deserted me, including Phygelus and Hermogenes. NLT 16 May the Lord show special kindness to Onesiphorus and all his family because he often visited and encouraged me. He was never ashamed of me because I was in prison. NIV 16 May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains. NLT 17 When he came to Rome, he searched everywhere until he found me. NIV 17 On the contrary, when he was in Rome, he searched hard for me until he found me. NLT 18 May the Lord show him special kindness on the day of Christ's return. And you know how much he helped me at Ephesus. NIV 18 May the Lord grant that he will find mercy from the Lord on that day! You know very well in how many ways he helped me in Ephesus.
