1 And he turned me (again) to the gate of the house (of the Lord); and lo! waters went out (from) under the threshold of the house to the east; for the face of the house (of the Lord) beheld to the east; forsooth the waters came down into the right side of the temple, to the south part of the altar. (And he returned me to the gate of the House of the Lord; and lo! water went out from under the threshold of the House of the Lord to the east; for the front of the Temple faced east; and the water came down from the right side of the Temple, to the south side of the altar/to south of the altar.)

New International Version NIV

1 The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar.
