Colossians 1

This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant. RSV 24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, NIV 24 Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church. RSV 29 For this I toil, striving with all the energy which he mightily inspires within me. NIV 29 To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.
