16 Allora il re diede l’ordine, e Daniele fu menato e gettato nella fossa de’ leoni. E il re parlò a Daniele, e gli disse: "L’Iddio tuo, che tu servi del continuo, sarà quegli che ti libererà".

So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!”
