24 E per ordine del re furon menati quegli uomini che avevano accusato Daniele, e furon gettati nella fossa de’ leoni, essi, i loro figliuoli e le loro mogli; e non erano ancora giunti in fondo alla fossa, che i leoni furono loro addosso, e fiaccaron loro tutte le ossa.

At the king’s command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.
