17 E in quel giorno l’ira mia si accenderà contro a lui, e io l’abbandonerò, e nasconderò da lui la mia faccia, e sarà consumato; e gran mali ed angosce gli avverranno; e in quel giorno egli dirà: Questi mali non mi sono eglino avvenuti perchè il Signore non è nel mezzo di me?

And in that day I will become angry with them and forsake them; I will hide my face from them, and they will be destroyed. Many disasters and calamities will come on them, and in that day they will ask, ‘Have not these disasters come on us because our God is not with us?’
