Ecclesiastes 12:9-14

NRS 9 Besides being wise, the Teacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging many proverbs. NIV 9 Not only was the Teacher wise, but also he imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs. NRS 10 The Teacher sought to find pleasing words, and he wrote words of truth plainly. NIV 10 The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true. NRS 11 The sayings of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings that are given by one shepherd.
