Ephesians 2

TYN 1 And hath quickened you also that were deed in treaspasse and synne NIV 1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, TYN 2 in ye which in tyme passed ye walked acordynge to the course of this worlde and after the governer that ruleth in the ayer the sprete yt now worketh in the children of vnbelefe NIV 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. TYN 3 amonge which we also had oure conversacion in tyme past in the lustes of oure flesshe and fullfilled the will of the flesshe and of the mynde: and were naturally the children of wrath even as wel as other. NIV 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. TYN 4 But God which is rich in mercy thorow his greate love wherwith he loved vs NIV 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, TYN 5 even when we were deed by synne hath quickened vs together in Christ (for by grace are ye saved) NIV 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved. TYN 6 and hath raysed vs vp together and made vs sitte together in hevenly thynges thorow Christ Iesus NIV 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, TYN 7 for to shewe in tymes to come the excedynge ryches of his grace in kyndnes to vs warde in Christ Iesu. NIV 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. TYN 8 For by grace are ye made safe thorowe fayth and that not of youre selves. For it is the gyfte of God NIV 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- TYN 9 and commeth not of workes lest eny man shuld bost him silfe. NIV 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. TYN 10 For we are his worckmanshippe created in Christ Iesu vnto good workes vnto the which god ordeyned vs before that we shuld walke in them. NIV 10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. TYN 11 Wherfore remeber yt ye beynge in tyme passed getyls in ye flesshe and were called vncircucision to the which are called circucisio in the flesshe which circucision is made by hondes: NIV 11 Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called "uncircumcised" by those who call themselves "the circumcision" (that done in the body by the hands of men)-- TYN 12 Remeber I saye yt ye were at that tyme wt oute Christ and were reputed aliantes from the comen welth of Israel and were straugers fro the testamentes of promes and had no hope and were with out god in this worlde. NIV 12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. TYN 13 But now in Christ Iesu ye which a whyle agoo were farre of are made nye by ye bloude of Christ. NIV 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. TYN 14 For he is oure peace whych hath made of both one and hath broken doune the wall yt was a stoppe bitwene vs NIV 14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, TYN 15 and hath also put awaye thorow his flesshe the cause of hatred (that is to saye the lawe of commaundementes contayned in the lawe written) for to make of twayne one newe ma in him silfe so makynge peace: NIV 15 by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, TYN 16 and to recocile both vnto god in one body thorow his crosse and slewe hatred therby: NIV 16 and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. TYN 17 and came and preached peace to you which were afarre of and to them that were nye. NIV 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. TYN 18 For thorow him we both have an open waye in in one sprete vnto the father. NIV 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. TYN 19 Now therfore ye are no moare straugers and foreners: but citesyns with the saynctes and of the housholde of god: NIV 19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, TYN 20 and are bilt apon the foundacion of the apostles and prophetes Iesus Christ beynge the heed corner stone NIV 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. TYN 21 in whom every bildynge coupled togedder groweth vnto an holy temple in ye lorde NIV 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. TYN 22 in who ye also are bilt togedder and made an habitacio for god in the sprete. NIV 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
