RSV 14 For he is our peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility, NIV 14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, RSV 15 by abolishing in his flesh the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, NIV 15 by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, RSV 16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby bringing the hostility to an end. RSV 17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near; NIV 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. RSV 18 for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. NIV 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. RSV 19 So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, NIV 19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, RSV 20 built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, NIV 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. RSV 21 in whom the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; NIV 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. RSV 22 in whom you also are built into it for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. NIV 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
