Ephesians 5:20-30

GNT 20 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, always give thanks for everything to God the Father. NIV 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. GNT 21 Submit yourselves to one another because of your reverence for Christ. NIV 21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. GNT 22 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands as to the Lord. NIV 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. GNT 23 For a husband has authority over his wife just as Christ has authority over the church; and Christ is himself the Savior of the church, his body. NIV 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. GNT 24 And so wives must submit themselves completely to their husbands just as the church submits itself to Christ. NIV 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. GNT 25 Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave his life for it. NIV 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her GNT 26 He did this to dedicate the church to God by his word, after making it clean by washing it in water, NIV 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, GNT 27 in order to present the church to himself in all its beauty - pure and faultless, without spot or wrinkle or any other imperfection. NIV 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. GNT 28 Men ought to love their wives just as they love their own bodies. A man who loves his wife loves himself NIV 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. GNT 29 (None of us ever hate our own bodies. Instead, we feed them, and take care of them, just as Christ does the church; NIV 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church-- GNT 30 for we are members of his body.) NIV 30 for we are members of his body.
